Pelli Kuturu Ceremony
The Pelli Kuturu Ceremony is a beautiful and traditional pre-wedding ritual performed for the bride in South Indian weddings. It marks the beginning of her transformation into a bride and is filled with love, blessings, and joyful moments shared with close family and friends.
During the ceremony, the bride is anointed with turmeric paste by the women in the family—a sacred ritual believed to purify, protect, and bring a natural glow before the wedding. She is then showered with blessings, vibrant flowers, and warm wishes for a happy and prosperous married life.
