How We Met: A Tale of Fate and Perfect Timing Our story is not just about two people finding each other—it’s about how destiny brought us together at exactly the right moment. If it weren’t for fate, our paths may never have crossed. But in a beautiful twist of fate, we now share a journey that feels like it was always meant to be. We come from traditional South Indian families, where parents take an active role in finding a suitable partner for their children. After months of searching, our families exchanged photos and bio-data, and the first step was taken. I received her photograph and profile, and from the very beginning, I was struck by her honesty, values, and the way she prioritized human connections over material things. We spoke for the first time on October 11, 2024, and again on October 12, 2024. During our conversations, we discovered we were very different—our personalities, habits, and interests were almost polar opposites. Yet, there was an undeniable connection. We respected each other’s values and shared a mutual admiration for honesty and integrity. It was clear that, despite our differences, something was drawing us together. After these initial conversations, we realized that we had found something rare and beautiful. Despite the differences, we both knew deep down that we were meant to be together. So, on October 15, 2024, we made a decision that would change our lives forever. We hadn’t met each other in person yet, but we were certain. Over a phone call, we both said "yes" to each other—confirming that we were ready to spend our lives together. We had no doubts. We knew we were going to be together forever, and we shared this certainty with our parents, who wholeheartedly supported our decision. The next significant step in our journey was the Nischitartham ceremony—a formal pre-wedding engagement in South Indian culture. It was scheduled for November 8, 2024, in PM Palem, Vizag, India. This ceremony marked an important moment for both of our families. But here’s the twist: we hadn’t met in person yet. On that special day, she flew from Kamloops, BC, to Vancouver, and I eagerly awaited her arrival. It was the first time we would meet face-to-face, and it felt like everything in my life had led to that moment. It was an unforgettable experience, as we finally shared the joy of being in each other’s presence. Later that evening, we virtually joined the Nischitartham ceremony in Vizag, greeting our families and relatives as we took the next step toward our future. What makes our story even more incredible is how many times our lives had already crossed paths long before we met. We both grew up in Bobbili, Andhra Pradesh. I had attended the same school where she studied in Sheela Nagar in Vizag during my kindergarten, and I even visited her grandfather’s house, unknowingly passing through her life. Later, she joined the same school I had attended from 5th to 10th grade, but by the time she enrolled, I had already moved on. Later, we both studied in Vizag, but at different times. Even during our undergraduate years, we lived in the same city yet never met.When we started talking in October 2024, I thought she was in London, Ontario, but fate had a twist—she had moved to Kamloops, BC, just months before, bringing us closer and making our connection feel effortless and destined. As we now prepare for the next chapter in our lives, we look back in awe at how destiny’s timing guided us. It wasn’t just about meeting the right person—it was about meeting them at the right time. Everything in our story has fallen into place in a way that feels both magical and inevitable. And so, as we move forward toward our wedding and our shared future, we know with absolute certainty that we are meant to spend forever together. Our love story is a testament to the incredible power of destiny, and we can’t wait to continue this journey hand-in-hand.
