Fifty-Third Winery & Vineyard
53rd Winery and Vineyard is owned and operated but some dear friends of the Bride! She has also previously consulted for them. 53rd is located nearby to the venue, and if you visit them the weekend of the wedding (or even before if you’re driving yourself), mention you’re in town for the Vogtman/Say Wedding for 10% any bottles of wine 🍾
The Farmers Market at IX
Our favourite farmers market- open nearly year round Saturday mornings from 9-12 pm. They offer seasonal produce, local meats, cheeses, baked goods, coffee/teas, crafts, gifts and more! There are always great food & beverage stalls, and is within walking distance of the downtown mall.
The Conservatory at the Omni Charlottesville Hotel
This is the newly renovated bar at the Omni hotel- a great pre-game spot to wait for the shuttle busses to the wedding!
Monticello Wine Trail
Charlottesville is world-renown for their wineries! We recommend visiting one or two if you're in town early, or staying on Sunday. Some of our favorites are the following: Library at Barboursville, Gabriele Rausse, Hark, Eastwood, Merrie Mill, Pollack, Veritas, and many more.
Charlottesville Ale Trail
Charlottesville is also home to some incredible breweries. From sake to beer, make sure to check them out! We love Decipher, Devils Backbone, SuperFly, Sake Brewery, Hogwaller, and so many more. (hint- we may have brewed a special beer for the wedding with Decipher)
Carter Mountain Orchard and Country Store
An amazing place to catch a sunset, Carter Mountain Orchard has food, cider, and incredible views of the Charlottesville area.
Crabtree Falls
One of our favorite hikes, Crabtree is gorgeous! Make sure to visit this on Friday or Sunday though, as it may be too long to do before the party.
Shenandoah National Park
A gorgeous forest to drive through with several hikes, just make sure to visit on Friday or Sunday so you won't be rushed before the wedding.
