Yes. Out of concern for our guests, in order to attend this celebration, all guests must be fully vaccinated. This is out of care and love for several attendees who have compromised immune systems. In addition, there is ample outdoor space (both covered and uncovered), and the reception venue does have an open wall to the covered patio/dance floor. We also strongly suggest you have your updated flu shot!
Due to catering and venue restrictions, we were not able to provide most guests with a "plus one" invitation, so please do not invite a guest without first checking with us. That being said, we want you to be with those you love on our special day! If you have someone in your life that you very much want to bring, please contact us directly and we'll see if we can accommodate them.
Unfortunately due to the nature of our event, we cannot have anyone under the age of 21 in attendance per our venue and ABC restrictions. We love your kids, but we are excited to spend our time with you and thought you might like a night off. This does include infants and toddlers. Adults only, please!
We request that our guests submit their RSVPs by July 15th. If we haven't heard from you by then, we will assume you are not able to attend. Due to the nature of our jobs and scheduling in the fall, the RSVP deadline is strict!
If you're taking advantage of our shuttles from Charlottesville, please make sure to be ready at the pick-up point by 1:45 pm. Busses take longer than normal driving. If you're driving yourself, please note our ceremony will be starting at 3:30 pm sharp. The ceremony site is about a 5-6 minute walk from the parking area, and if you have trouble with walking, the venue does have golf carts to shuttle you around. From downtown Charlottesville, the venue is roughly a 45-50 minute drive. Our suggestion is to leave by 2:20 pm!
Yes - once invitations are sent, you will be able to RSVP via this site and there will be an option to submit any dietary restrictions. Please share these so we can inform our caterer and be sure to have an option for you.
Yes- please check out our Travel page for more details. We have a block of rooms at the Omni Charlottesville, but we also have two other hotels listed at various price points. **Please Note** Hotel pricing in Charlottesville varies month-by-month. Many of the hotels keep pricing high in the fall until the full UVA football/basketball/family weekend schedules have been released. Pricing should level out sometime around July-August. If you decide to go with our hotel block, you will need to reserve your room by October 1st. If you want to go with an AirBnB or somewhere not listed, please reach out to us to make sure you're in a good area!
Yes- this event is semi-formal, please do not wear jeans, shorts, or anything casual. Use this as an excuse to get fancy! We kindly ask that you do not wear colors traditionally reserved for the bride (white, cream, ivory). Otherwise, please wear whatever makes you feel beautiful/handsome! Our suggestion is to wear rich-jewel-toned colors for the fall season.
Yes! We will provide wine, beer, and two specialty cocktails with plenty of non-alcoholic options. Due to ABC restrictions, you will not be able to bring outside alcohol to consume on the premises. Additional alcohol can be purchased during our after-party at Jack Brown's in Charlottesville.
Yes- we will be having an official after-party at one of our favorite watering holes, Jack Brown's! While the rehearsal dinner is invite-only, we will be doing a mini bar-crawl for welcome drinks at two of our favourite cocktail bars on Friday, November 15th. From 8-10 we will be on the downtown mall at Café Frank and then the Alley Light from 10-midnight!
