For those attending our wedding celebration from abroad or another state, you will likely be arriving via the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). This is a beautiful airport with 2 terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The major airlines primarily use Terminal 1, which is also the terminal for international flights. Terminal 2 tends to be for smaller domestic carriers. Both terminals are within a 20 minute drive (traffic permitting) from our ceremony and reception venue, The Essence Event Center, in Saint Paul, MN.

The Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport has many major car rental companies including Hertz (we are not specifically endorsing this company). We do recommend renting a car for the greatest ease of transportation. If you are staying near the airport, then it would be possible to take ride services like Uber and Lyft to your hotel and the ceremony and wedding venue- The Essence Event Center in Saint Paul. There is some public transportation available, both Light Rail and bus, but navigating the public transportation may be challenging and time-consuming.

Please note that if you are one of Andy's extended family members, or a friend with ties to Northfield, MN, then you may prefer to find accommodations where Andy's parents live in Northfield, MN. While Northfield is a 60 minute drive from the wedding venue, The Essence Event Center, if you will be spending some time with Andy's parents before the wedding, then this would be the most convenient location to stay in for your visit. Update: The Best Western Plus Como Park Hotel adjacent to our wedding venue, The Essence Event Center, unexpectedly closed in April 2025. Several of our wedding guests had made reservations there, but later received notifications that their reservations had been canceled and that the hotel is permanently closed. We appreciate them for reaching out to us to let us know. This means that any hotel that you book will require renting a car to drive to The Essence Event Center or booking other transportation, such as Uber or Lyft.

This is a unique historic hotel located in downtown Saint Paul, MN, which is the same city where our wedding venue, The Essence Event Center, is located. The rates with taxes are about $200 per night for 1 room for 2 adults. This hotel, traffic permitting, is about 15 minutes drive from both the Essence Event Center and the Minnneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.

This is another option in downtown Saint Paul, MN. The base rate with taxes is about $185 per night for 1 room for 2 people. However, if you consider this hotel, you may want to inquire regarding parking, as there appears to be an additional $32 per night fee for valet parking, which could be a dealbreaker if you are renting a car. This hotel is also about 15 minutes from our wedding venue, The Essence Event Center, and the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.
