Travel Note
There are a few different ways to get to the town of Hudson, NY: 1 - You could fly into JFK Airport, La Guardia Airport, or Newark Airport in the NYC Metro Area, and from there rent a car and drive 2.5 hours upstate to Hudson. 2 - You can take the Amtrak train from Penn Station in Manhattan to the town of Hudson. Our venue, Basilica Hudson, is conveniently located just catty-corner from the Hudson Amtrak Station. The town is also very walkable from the station, with several hotels (especially The Wick and William Farmer & Sons) as well as many AirBNBs close by. 3 - You could also fly into Albany International Airport (50 minute drive north) or Stewart International Airport in Newburgh (1 hour drive south) and rent a car to drive to Hudson. Or you can connect to the Hudson Amtrak / Metro North Train Lines from either of these nearby cities. 4 - Okay, so you're an adventurer; why take the easy route? You can hike or bike the Empire State Trail all the way from NYC to Hudson. Google Maps says that the bike trip is 13.5 hours. Godspeed! *Please note that the town of Hudson doesn't have any car rental locations. Rideshare app service is somewhat limited, but there are some local taxi companies which you can use to supplement.

The Wick is conveniently located just down the street from our wedding venue, and it's one of the few hotels in the actual town that has a large dedicated parking area. A former candle factory, the renovated building is now very stylish and clean with industrial accents. Skip the hotel breakfast and walk down the street to Kitty's. There are limited rooms set aside for the Kluiters/Fetterman Wedding for check in on October 31st at 3pm - Sunday, November 2nd at noon. In order to book in this block, you can use the link below.

William Farmer and Sons is a stylish compound with three buildings on the edge of town closest to the venue. It has a beautiful bar/restaurant, and the rooms are all curated to have a unique personality. Reservations open up 3 months before.

Rivertown Lodge is a fun, functional, and relatively affordable stay at the opposite end of town from the venue, charmingly situated inside of a former movie theater. The rooms are small but cozy, there's a great bar/restaurant on premises, and they have a parking lot. Highly recommended for our Millennial guests. Reservations open up 3 months before.

Warning: EXTREMELY NAUTICAL. The town of Hudson was historically a processing hub for the whaling industry, and this hotel is heavily steeped in that history. Do not stay here if you aren't a fan of the color blue, or if you're susceptible to seasickness.
