There are a few different ways to get to the town of Hudson, NY: 1 - You could fly into JFK Airport, La Guardia Airport, or Newark Airport in the NYC Metro Area, and from there rent a car and drive 2.5 hours upstate to Hudson. 2 - You can take the Amtrak train from Penn Station in Manhattan to the town of Hudson. Our venue, Basilica Hudson, is conveniently located just catty-corner from the Hudson Amtrak Station. The town is also very walkable from the station, with several hotels (especially The Wick and William Farmer & Sons) as well as many AirBNBs close by. 3 - You could also fly into Albany International Airport (50 minute drive north) or Stewart International Airport in Newburgh (1 hour drive south) and rent a car to drive to Hudson. Or you can connect to the Hudson Amtrak / Metro North Train Lines from either of these nearby cities. 4 - Okay, so you're an adventurer; why take the easy route? You can hike or bike the Empire State Trail all the way from NYC to Hudson. Google Maps says that the bike trip is 13.5 hours. Godspeed! *Please note that the town of Hudson doesn't have any car rental locations. Since our welcome party is on Halloween, we are throwing a Halloween masquerade. We would love to see all of our guests embodying their alternate personalities with glam, mysterious, quirky or moody ensembles and masks to match! You can see inspo in the "Attire Suggestions" tab on this site.
The wedding dress code is cocktail attire. Dark or jewel-toned suits, jackets, and dresses are encouraged for a fall theme. For a visual example/inspo, please check out the photos in the "Attire Suggestions" tab on this site.
