Travel Recommendations

The Wedding Website of Sierra Taylor Ramsey and Dennis Michael McLaughlin
As we gather for a four‑day celebration at Castello di Rosciano, we are pleased to share travel recommendations for guests traveling from the United States. To ensure a seamless arrival, the airports and routes listed below offer the most convenient access to our venue and the designated bus pickup location, where transportation to Castello di Rosciano will be arranged for those who choose to participate. IMPORTANT: As you prepare for your trip to Italy, we kindly ask that you review your passport details in advance. Current international travel regulations require U.S. passports to remain valid for at least six months beyond the final day of international travel. To ensure a smooth arrival, please confirm that your passport expiration date is AFTER May 2028.

Rome Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" Airport

Guests may arrive at Rome Fiumicino “Leonardo da Vinci” Airport (FCO), the most convenient international airport travelling to Florence. Upon arrival, travelers can take the commuter train located directly within the airport to Rome’s central train station, Roma Termini. From Roma Termini, high‑speed trains depart frequently to Florence, arriving at Firenze Santa Maria Novella, the city’s main station. The train ride takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and offers a comfortable and scenic ride through the Italian countryside. We highly recommend flying into this airport to start. Airports in the United States that fly directly to FCO: -New York (JFK/EWR) -Boston (BOS) -Chicago (ORD) -Los Angeles (LAX) -Miami (MIA) -Philadelphia (PHL) -Charlotte (CLT) -Atlanta (ATL) -Washington D.C. (IAD) -Seattle (SEA) -San Francisco (SFO) Link below to view train tickets from FCO to Firenze Santa Maria Novella.

Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) is another option from the United States. There is a train that you will take from MXP to Firenze Santa Maria Novella, the main train station in the heart of Florence. This commute will take about 3.5 hours, with a quick train change at Milan's main train station, Milano Centrale. Airports in the United States that fly directly to MXP: -New York (JFK) -Chicago (ORD) -Philadelphia (PHL) -Atlanta (ATL)

Travel Note

Taxi

We highly recommend downloading the “appTaxi” app prior to departure, as it may not function reliably with U.S. phone numbers once in Italy. Traditional taxi services are the primary mode of transportation, as rideshare options such as Uber are not as widely available.
