Big Bad Breakfast is right across the street from the Aloft hotel, but within walking distance of The Valley too. Highly recommend for a fantastic southern breakfast!
O'Henry's is a Birmingham staple, and in my opinion the best coffee in the area. Highly recommend grabbing a quick cup the morning before the wedding so you're nice and energized to dance the night away!
This is the diviest of dive bars. It's located in downtown Homewood (walking distance to both hotels!) By the backdoor entrance of Big Bad Breakfast. This is a fantastic spot for a cheap beer and a good time. Open until 11pm.
Momma G's is an Auburn staple that Chelsea consumed on a regular basis in college. They've got the best turkey subs in the world! Please order the nachos when you go - you won't regret it! Momma G's is within walking distance of both hotels.
If you're looking for a nicer, sit down restaurant within walking distance of both hotels, Little Donkey is a great spot to get fantastic Mexican food and margs!
Birmingham has two completely walkable neighborhoods. You’re staying in one of them - Homewood. The other is Mountain Brook Village. Shops, restaurants and boutiques abound, along with the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
This is a dive bar/cafe that's about a 5 minute uber ride from both hotels. They're open until 2AM!
The Roof is a rooftop bar on the top floor of the Redmont Hotel downtown (5-10 minute uber ride from hotels). It's a great spot to take in the views of downtown BHM! Open until 1:30am.
Davenport's Pizza is in Mountain Brook Village (recommended above) and is arguably the best pizza in Birmingham. This tavern-style pizza joint is very casual and has an arcade room with vintage Pac-Man machines.
Birmingham’s famous botanical garden will be in full bloom in May. With a gorgeous rose garden, Japanese garden, café and shop, you can easily spend an afternoon here.
