Hike Mt. Tom
Across the street from Billings Farm, plenty of trails - from an (inclined) stroll on a path around the Pogue to scaling the side of the mountain. We got engaged at the top of Mt Tom, overlooking downtown Woodstock!
Hike the Appalachian
The Appalachian passes through Pomfret with trailheads at Route 12, Stage Rd, Pomfret Rd (passes behind the Oatway house!), Cloudland Rd and then goes on towards Hanover. Hop on or off at any trailhead for a fun hike!
Hike Saskadena Six
Hike the skinning trail (Easy Mile) at our local ski mountain. About 1 hour up and back. Pack a drink or snack to enjoy at the top on the ski lift with beautiful views of Pomfret!
