First, you'll find driving instructions on how to get to the venue from either Sant Cugat or Sitges train station. Follow these directions or show them to your cab driver to take the best route. Below you'll find a few options for how to get to the city-center in Barcelona from either the train station or the airport. I recommend checking on Google Maps for the best route to your hotel/AirBnb. Hopefully, this gives you an idea of what might work best for your budget and time! _____________ En primer lloc, trobareu instruccions sobre com arribar al recinte des de l'estació de tren de Sant Cugat o de Sitges. Seguiu aquestes indicacions o mostreu-les al vostre taxista per prendre la millor ruta.

Train

Arriving by train to Barcelona-Sants

If you are traveling to Barcelona from within Spain you may be arriving by train to Barcelona-Sants. Sants is technically in the city-center already, but likely not where you'll be staying so to get to your hotel or AirBnB I recommend: - Metro (the easiest and most economical): A single ticket will cost €2.40 right now, but buying 10 tickets is €11.35 which is best if you're planning to use the metro/bus during your trip (buy the T-casual). Takes less than 15 minutes to get to tourist attractions and hotels. - Bus (economical, but not fast): The bus costs the same as the metro, but usually takes longer. I recommend looking on Google Maps to see if the bus stops closer to your hotel/AirBnB than the metro. - Cab (most expensive, but convenient): There are always cabs right outside of Sants that you can take directly to your hotel. It usually costs about €15 to get to the center, but could depend on the time of day and traffic. The cab drivers should speak a bit of English and accept card, but have the address pulled up to show them and confirm you don't need cash. If you want to take a cab, I recommend booking in advance through either Free Now app or Cabify (there is no Uber in Barcelona). This is the best option since you'll know the price and don't need to speak Spanish.

Flight

Arriving by plane to Barcelona-El Prat (BCN)

If you're travelling to Barcelona by plane, you'll be arriving to BCN-El Prat airport which is about 8 miles outside of the city. To get to the city-center, I recommend: - Aerobus-Express (economical and fast): This is a bus that goes directly to the city-center in 20 to 40 minutes and operates 24/7. A one-way ticket is €6,75 and a round-trip is €11.65. See the official website by click the box below where you can buy tickets in advance (they are only valid for 90 days so don't buy them too far in advance!) and see the schedules. Otherwise, you can buy them at a machine in front of the bus stop. - Bus 46 (Most economical, semi fast): This bus has more stops and gets to the city center in 40 minutes. It is the cheapest option as you can buy a T-casual transit card (works for metro and bus) for €2.40 (single ticket), or 10 tickets for €11.35. - Cab (Most convenient, least economical): Cabs usually cost about €30-40, but could depend on the time of day/traffic or a surcharge for airport pick up. The cab drivers likely will speak a bit of English and accept card, but have the address pulled up to show them and confirm you don't need cash. If you want to take a cab, I recommend booking in advance through either Free Now app or Cabify (there is no Uber in Barcelona). This is the best option since you'll know the price and don't need to speak Spanish. - Metro/train: Unfortunately, the metro doesn't go to the airport and you'll need to board a commuter train to connect with the metro :( I don't recommend this option!
