What is the dress code for the wedding and other events?

Answer

Wedding is Garden Formal Attire: Elegant yet comfortable. Think long or midi dresses and suits. We’ll be celebrating outdoors, so block heels or dressy flats are HIGHLY encouraged! It can get chilly, so bring a shawl or jacket. Welcome winery event is comfortable daytime attire. Welcome party is country chic. Cowboy boots and hats encouraged.

What are transportation options for the weekend events?

Answer

For the welcome winery event on Thursday, we will be providing a shuttle to and from the winery. The shuttle will depart from Apple Farm Inn at 11:45 AM and return at 2:15 PM. If you are staying elsewhere, we recommend walking or taking an Uber to Apple Farm Inn for pickup. If you prefer to drive or arrange your own transportation, that is absolutely fine—please just indicate your plans when you RSVP. For the welcome party at our home, shuttles will not be provided. We highly recommend using Uber or other ride services. If you do choose to drive, we have arranged parking at San Luis Obispo United Methodist Church next door. You may park there and walk over, as street parking is very limited. For the wedding, shuttle service will also be provided to and from the venue, with pickup and drop-off at Apple Farm Inn. Exact times will be shared soon. Please let us know on your RSVP if you plan to use the shuttle. If you prefer to drive, there will be ample parking available at the venue.

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones! However, to allow all guests (including parents) a night of relaxation and celebration, we’re having an adults-only event. Children of immediate family or those listed on the invitation are welcome.

What should the weather be like?

Answer

Santa Margarita should have mild temperatures, typically ranging from the low 70s to high 60s during the day. Temperatures can drop to the 50s at night, so we recommend bringing a warm jacket. While our dance floor is outdoors, we'll have heaters available to keep everyone comfortable throughout the celebration.

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event.
