Rebecca

Maid of Honor

Rebecca is Victoria's younger and only sister. Despite being six years apart, Rebecca has consistently carried a level of maturity and grace that would often make people forget about the sisters' age gap. Now that they've established their own lives/careers in their respective cities, their relationship has grown closer than ever; especially since losing their mother in 2015. Both sisters continue to inspire each other to be resilient, mindful, and grateful for the life experiences that have shaped them into who they are today.

Christine

Bridesmaid

Christine is one of Victoria's closest cousins. Her ability to immerse herself into different cultures and master five different languages have helped shaped Victoria's upbringing and view of the world. Though Christine resides in Thailand, the two of them have consistently made the effort to meet each other halfway across the globe while taking full advantage of the traveling opportunity! Christine has played a huge influence on Victoria's appreciation for food and fashion and has always treated her like a sister of her own.

Helen

Bridesmaid

Helen is one of Victoria's childhood best friends. They reconnected in 2005 when Victoria's family moved to Texas and have kept each other in their circles since. While surviving the pandemic together in their apartment, Helen played a huge role in supporting Victoria throughout her journey in nursing school. Truth be told, Helen was also the first person to predict how perfect of a partner Edwin would be for Victoria before she even knew it.

Sara

Bridesmaid

Sara and Victoria have been close friends since junior high. Sara has been through most if not all of Victoria's major milestones; some of the highlights included participating in the same extracurricular activities in both high school and college, traveling abroad for the first time together, celebrating each other's graduations in their respective fields (for Sara it was medicine and for Victoria, nursing). The both of them share their love of food, traveling the world, and photography since their first trip abroad together to England and Scotland!

Katherine

Bridesmaid

Much like Sara, Katherine has been a close friend of Victoria's since junior high. Together, the trio were three inseparable musketeers who traversed each life milestone together through grade school and their college years at the University of Houston. It was through Katherine's frequent family get togethers at her parents' house that made Victoria realize how much she loved Salvadoran sandwiches, veggie pupusas, and dancing to bachata. It was almost as if the universe had been preparing Victoria to meet her Salvadoran half later in life and in nursing school!

Eric

Best Man

Eric has always tried to portray himself as the "I'm too cool for this" type of person, but for the people closest to him he's quite the opposite. Once you get passed his tough exterior, you quickly realize he can be one of the kindest people you'll know. We've know each other for 16+ years, and there is no way that I could summarize the friendship and brotherhood that we have developed over those years, but I'll try. Eric, probably without knowing, has always inspired me to to never settle but to always stay humble. Through our many conversations I was able to define my own definition of success, and take moments to appreciate where I am and where I've come from. He been one of the people that has always supported me in all of life's endeavors, and helped guide and build me into the person I am today. His never ending support for me has taught me to try and do the same for others. With him being someone that I've enjoyed and learned so much from, there's no way I couldn't ask him to be there on the day that I commit myself fully and whole heartedly to the love of my life.

Nic

Best Man

Nic is probably one of the most interesting people you'll ever get to meet and have a conversation with. I met him in my second year at the University of Houston. I thought he was the son of one of the professors or other students there. I thought to myself "how did this kid get into the engineering study lounge?". Little did I know that this 13 year old was actually one of the students in the engineering college, and that 12 years later I would have him as one of my best men at my wedding. Nic has grown to be one of the most dependable people I know. He's someone that is never satisfied until he knows he's given it his all. He's capable of achieving anything that he sets his mind to. But don't let this intimidate you, he's also one of the most down to earth, friendliest, kindest, person you'll get the chance to meet. Any time that I've asked for his help, he has always shown up and outperformed my expectations. At moments throughout our years together, I've had moments where I saw Nic as a younger sibling and wanted to teach and provide guidance to him. But, so many times I feel as if he was the one teaching me. It truly fills me with joy knowing that Nic will be standing with me on one of the most special days in my life.

David

Groomsman

What can I say about my brother Carlitos (not David)... through his actions growing up I've learned what not to do lol jk jk. In all honesty, with a five year gap between us, it was tough being able to relate to Carlos as we were growing up. I developed some of my traits from learning through his "mistakes". But as I grew older, and as we were able to connect more, I realized that I had learned so much from him without even realizing it. I learned to stand up for what I believe in, to try and pursue what makes me happy, and that at life's lowest moments there is always a way to get back up. I didn't make him a best men, not because he wasn't significant enough to fill the spot, but because has a title with even greater stature; the title of Brother. I can't imagine sharing this special day without having him there standing with me.

Alex

Groomsman

It's difficult to describe the type of relationship I have with Alex. As brothers, we've definitely fought our fair share of time, but we have always loved each other with the innate love that family and brothers have for each other. We don't share many similar views, but at the end of the day we are always able to respect our individualized opinions. I know Alex to be one of the strongest willed people to have possibly ever existed. When he sets his mind on something the only thing or person to change it is himself. He's always been the protector of the family, even as a little kid. I can easily say that some of my hardheadedness probably comes from him. But my wanting to protect and endure can also be attributed to watching him as kids. When I was younger, I was always so fearful and anxious, it was always so inspiring to watch him tackle his fears and troubles head on. Through wanting to more like my older brother, I was able to grow out of my shell and not let fear stop me. if it weren't for the inspiration that Alex brough me, I don't know if I ever would have grown out of my shell as a kid. Alejandro Enrique Rivera is more than just a groomsmen. He holds a special place in my heart and soul, he is my brother, a title by blood that only two people hold.
