Travel Note
Old St. Joseph's does not have its own parking lot; the lot at the church is residential only, and its use is strictly enforced. Relaxed street parking is available for Saturday weddings, which permits parking on both sides of 4th St. and Locust St. (between certain cross-streets) if you display a parking certificate in your car's windshield. Please click "View" to print this certificate. Otherwise, most of your options will be metered street parking. Can't parallel park? Neither can the bride! In this case, there are a number of paid parking lots and garages in Philadelphia, such as The Autopark at Olde City (2nd & Sansom Sts.).
Travel Note
The Rittenhouse Square area is primarily metered street parking. Estia is located on Locust St. between Broad and 15th Sts. If you prefer a paid lot, Estia recommends that you use the Latimer Garage at 1510 Latimer St. You could also try the Bellevue Garage at 1423 Locust St.; it's right next to Estia, but it is a bit pricey. There are several other garages within a few blocks of the restaurant.
Train
If you are planning to use the train to get from the ceremony to the reception space, you would walk north to Market St. and board at 5th St. Independence Hall Station (traveling westbound to 69th St.). The closest MFL stop to Estia is 15th St. Station. Total walking time would be approximately 0.6 miles. If you would rather take the bus, you can board either the 9, 21 or 42 bus at the 4th & Walnut St. stop. The nearest bus stop to Estia is at Walnut and Broad St. Total walking time would be approximately 0.3 miles.
Rental Car
If you decide just to walk between Old St. Joseph's and Estia, it's only a 1.0 mile trip west on Locust St. Part of your walk would even be within Washington Square Park! Uber and Lyft are also easily accessible options in Philadelphia. If you have yet to download either app and would like a discount code for your first ride, let us know to send you an invite.
