Please RSVP by September 15th via the "RSVP" page located on our wedding website. If you have any concerns or additional questions, please reach out to one of us directly!
In an effort to maximize the daylight on our wedding day, the ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM. We recommend arriving to the wedding venue 15-30 minutes in advance to grab a seat, take in the beautiful hacienda, and sip on an agua fresca!
We kindly ask guests to dress somewhere along the spectrum of cocktail or formal attire — vibrant and elegant, yet comfortable for a celebration in warm Mérida. Ladies, midi- or full-length dresses are perfect. Think colorful or tropical tones, florals, and silhouettes that move easily on the dance floor! Gentlemen, please wear a suit in any color, though tie not required. Light, breathable materials like linen or cotton blends are encouraged for the tropical setting.
In late November, temperatures typically range from 70°F (21°C) to 85°F (29°C). Though technically still "rainy season", it's generally considered the transition to the dry season, with fewer rainy days compared to earlier months. Expect daytime highs around 85°F (29°C) and nighttime lows around 70°F. The locals we've spoken with have raved about the weather in Merida during this time of the year!
Ride-share apps (i.e. Uber) are easily accessible (and affordable) to and from our wedding venue, Hacienda Chi Chi Suarez, located a quick 20-minute ride outside the city center. We are offering transportation via shuttle from the wedding venue to the Hyatt Regency-Merida beginning at 10:00 PM until 12:00 AM.
Uber/Lyft are very accessible, cheap, and safe in and around the Merida area. We typically would either walk or Uber when going from place to place downtown. However, Uber/Lyft are NOT allowed to pick up at the airport. The best option from the airport is to schedule a driver through our travel concierge (located in the travel tab of this wedding website). For those who do not want to schedule a driver (or forget), you must walk across the airport parking lot and cross the street to be picked up by an Uber/Lyft in one of the rental car parking lots. We found this out the first time we visited Merida and it was a hassle to lug our bags to the nearest location outside of the airport premises.
We have a hotel block with a discount at the Hyatt Regency Merida (see travel section of this website). If interested in other boutique hotel options, please reach out to our travel concierge for a complete hotel catalog at travelconcierge@yucatalove.com. Merida also has the dreamiest Airbnbs. Please don't hesitate to reach out to one of us with questions regarding location, suggestions, etc.
🏝️Yucatan Adventours with Alejandra 🚌 We met Alejandra (tour guide at Yucatan Adventours) through a Viator cenotes tour we booked during our first visit to Merida. She was wonderful and knowledgeable; we highly recommend her! You can reach out to Ale to learn more about what kinds of tours she offers (cenotes, pyramids, beaches, etc.) through her instagram (@yucatan.adventours) or via WhatsApp (+52 999-947-2520). 🏝️ Yucatalove Travel Concierge 🚌 Our wedding planning team offers free travel concierge that can help you plan a variety of tours and activities, including beach days, archaeological site visits, cenote tours, mangroves, gastronomy, or magical village day trips (ie. Izamal, Campeche). You can contact them via the link or QR code located on the "Travel" section of our wedding website, or by emailing travelconcierge@yucatalove.com.
