Lake Champlain Chocolates offers free chocolate tastings most days and is a favorite stop of V's father. Citizen Cider is less than a mile down the road and they offer excellent grub as well. Plus if you are in the mood for a great bagel sandwich try Feldman's (NY style) or Myer's (Montreal style) Bagels.

The best ratio when comparing hiking exertion vs. view! Just over 1 mile will offer beautiful views of the Adirondacks mountains and Lake Champlain. You can also drive up! Improve your experience by purchasing some Folino's Pizza and Shelburne Vineyard wine or Fiddlehead Beer (only a few miles down the road) and enjoy it at the summit. Cookie Love is a delicious reward once you get to the bottom - fresh baked cookies and creemes are only a couple miles away.
