How We Met

Rhode Island - 2014

We met in college through mutual friends to work on a group project together. We then sat next to each other in our next semester's studio class and formed a strong friendship through all the studio struggles and the weekend let loose times. That friendship created a strong foundation for the couple we have become.

Surviving Architecture School

Roger Williams University 2013-2018

From all-nighters in studio to letting loose at The Bean, we were in it together. After meeting (briefly) in our Foundations of Architecture class, we ended up sharing a studio space (it's kind of like a cubicle) the following semester. During this time we formed a solid friendship and started hanging out outside of studio. That summer we each made trips to NH and NJ to visit each other, although not officially dating (though the mom's say otherwise). When back on campus the following fall semester we made it official. Throughout the struggles of surviving architecture school, we pushed in each other to do better, worked as teammates on a lot of projects, did some world traveling, and created a solid relationship through good times and not so great times. Once we each had our bachelor degrees, we signed up for another round of "archie problems" to get our Master degrees. In the end we like to think we survived architecture school because of each other.

The Proposal

Rhode Island - 2020

On what seemed like a whim for just a summer getaway weekend, we went back to our old stomping grounds in Rhode Island to visit Newport, walk around Providence, and hang out with a couple of friends. While walking the Newport Cliff Walk we went down the steps to check out a cool spot we used to climb - the hidden waterfall under the steps. While she peeked around the corner at the waterfall, he pulled out the ring and got down on one knee. And of course, she said "yes!".
