Welcome to Our Wedding!

Bret and Katherine met in their high school journalism class in the fall of 2011, and quickly became friends thanks to an alphabetically-assigned seating chart. Their friendship grew over the next few months and towards the end of the semester, Bret finally asked Katherine out on their first official date! Their first date started with a quick lunch at Olive Garden, and then spanned the entirety of the day while they tried their best to keep the date from ending. From going to Partridge Creek mall and walking around in the freezing temperatures, going to see the wrong movie on accident, drinking McDonald's mocha frappes in a barbershop parking lot, and talking about anything and everything, their first date ended up lasting over 12 hours. After taking a week to build up the courage, Bret finally asked if Katherine would officially be his girlfriend, and the rest is history. Looking forward in their relationship, they continue to simply never want their time together to end. Through all the hardships, changes, and triumphs life has brought to them, the one stability they could always rely on is each other. Once Bret had finished up his schooling, he finally decided it was time to ask Katherine to marry him. After a brief (and rather toasty) hike to overlook the Sleeping Bear Dunes at Pyramid Point, Bret finally popped the question; and of course, it was the easiest question that Katherine had ever answered (spoiler alert: SHE SAID YES!!)! Finally, after ten years of knowing this day would come, they are ready to start their new life together officially as husband and wife!
