A visit to the family-run Anoussakis Market hardly feels like grocery shopping. Find anything and everything you might need from local Parian products to world-renowned gourmet brands. This grocery store and deli has never disappointed us whether we're in the hunt for breakfast treats, organic produce or environmentally friendly skincare options.
We're having our wedding reception here so needless to say it's our favorite place for great cocktails, great food and everything in between. During the day, the team operates their Golden Beach bar, Beach Project—a refreshing brunch menu (think smoothies and energy bowls) and colorful drinks with an exotic twist. Did we mention that all fruits, vegetables and herbs are grown locally by Yianni Ragoussis, the owner, himself?
Welcome to the epitome of Greek-style entertaining—the Greek meze table. There, great food captures the essence of the sea and great service makes you feel like a local. Pro tip: Sample a little bit of everything at this excellent fish and seafood spot along with a glass of ouzo. Or with the local moonshine-type drink, souma. Even better.
Appropriately named after the Greek word for wave, Kyma, provides a superb gastronomic experience that highlights Mediterranean cuisine. Think fresh fish and traditional flavors with a twist on top of an Insta-worthy presentation. Its minimalist aesthetic makes it feel like an extension of the natural landscape, where spectacular sea view and the picturesque character of Drios collide. It’s a vibe.
Your one stop for authentic, delicious Greek souvlaki and classic flavors fresh off the grill. Think *real* gyro, kontosouvli, Greek salad, tzatziki and so much more. Wash it down with a local beer—Alfa, Mamos and Mythos are some of our favorites.
Find it at the end of Drios beach next to the ancient ship yards and the little port. Grab a beer and let all time classic rock, jazz and blues music mix with the sound of the sea. If you're lucky your night might take an unexpected turn that involves dancing till the crack of dawn.
The mile-plus-long Golden Beach is the biggest on the island. Think crystal clear waters and, well you guessed it, soft golden sand! The Rebel beach bar is the perfect spot for those of you who are into day drinking exotic cocktails but also for those who might feel like trying their luck at surfing, diving and water-sports. At the very least just walk the beach from end to end—totally worth it.
It is known for their world-reknowned Caipirinha but trust us when we say you'll also have the most delicious Mojito of your entire life. The secret ingredient? House-made strawberry jam that gives the perfect summer spin on a classic. With sophisticated variety of drinks and cocktails, a rare selection of aged rums and music that travels you to faraway lands, this is our hands-down favorite bar. Or better put: a family affair!
Hanging above the hidden in plain sight Lolantonis beach, The Cliff, is not your average all-day lounge. There, elaborate cocktails meet traditional Greek delicacies with a contemporary twist. The soft soundtrack of old school House music keeps your vibe high and as you're chilling on a giant cushion soaking the sun you realize that beach life takes a whole new meaning.
This is a small beach, organized and non. You can either hang out toes in the sand, drink in your hand as the DJ does his thing or walk a little further to the more secluded nude beach for an entirely different experience. Whatever you choose one thing is for certain: it'll be fun! Oh and keep in mind that other than the full bar (complete with snacks and everything) there's a restaurant onsite as well. Which means that you can literally spend an entire day at the beach.
The one and only surf shop on the island, Bit of Salt, is here to cater to all your surfing needs—from the smallest screw, the lightest board, the longest fin, the fastest sail or the cheapest wetsuit. For those of you who don't surf, fret not. Take one look around and you will soon realize that this place is so much more than surf gear. Think a super cool selection of beachwear, shoes, clothing and accessories. Don't forget to check out their in-house brand—their collections never disappoint.
The king of Paros bakeries. Fresh bread? Check. A wide assortment of baked goods? Check. Traditional desserts and pastries? Check. Homemade ice cream? Check. Your best bet is to walk in, grab your morning coffee and simply start pointing to whatever deems interesting. The friendly staff has got you covered—from answering any questions you might have to having you sample cookies and treats. Go ahead, indulge! And don't forget to bring some home.
TBH we have so many places to recommend we don't even know where to start! We'll do our best to keep it simple. Here goes. Check out Barbarossa and Sigi Ikthios for exquisite seafood or hang out at Kafeneio Palia Agora for a traditional meze-style souma-drenched dinner. If you're craving a souvlaki head to Kargas. Then check out the town's museums and art galleries or tour the Moraitis winery. Wander around the bougainvillea covered alleyways. Shop street style at Planet Mushroom, surf wear at Bit of Salt and upscale brands at Angels. Have a masterfully crafted cocktail at Santé, Somaripa Consolato or Agosta. Alternatively pop by Kosmos for great drinks and music that won't let you sit down. Or check out Linardo—their dance parties last till the next morning. When in Naousa there's only one way to end the night: stop by To Paradosiako for traditional Greek loukoumades—the donut-like deep-fried pastry you didn't know you needed. And that's just the tip of the iceberg!
