Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Rough Creek Lodge. On the day of the wedding, signs will direct you to where the ceremony and reception will take place, as well as where to park. Both the chapel and reception area are walking distance from each other. Parking will be available at the main lodge and transportation will be provided to and from there for guests that will be staying at the Rough Creek Lodge. For guests not staying at the Lodge, parking will be available at the Event Parking near the Chapel.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The address for Rough Creek Lodge is 5165 County Road 2013, Glen Rose, TX, 76043. The venue is about a 2 hour drive from Dallas. Please be advised that it takes about 10-15 minutes from the front gate entrance to the main lodge.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive about 45 minutes before the ceremony start time. This will allow ample time to find the chapel at Rough Creek Lodge and to get seated.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, both the Chapel and Reception Pavilion is wheelchair accessible. There are also rooms available at the Lodge with wheelchair accessibility. When booking accommodation at the Lodge, please request a wheelchair accessible room. We have these on hold for our guests for the wedding weekend.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors. The reception will also have an outdoors atmosphere, if weather permits.

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. Rough Creek Lodge has a wonderful Kids Ranch that is free of charge with room rentals. Upon booking accommodation, guests will be asked if they want to utilize the Kids Ranch amenity. The Kids Ranch is open until 10:00pm and Private Sitters are available thereafter. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

It depends as this is Texas weather. It can either be cold or warm on the day. Hopefully it will be a perfect sunny day with pleasant temperatures, but we advise you to check the weather the week of and plan accordingly.

Question

Are the use of cell phones allowed?

Answer

We kindly ask that you will limit the use of cell phones during the main events such as the ceremony, first dance, send-off, etc. We ask that you enjoy the present moment with us as we celebrate together. Cell phones dictate our lives so much therefore for one night we would like to detach and enjoy the celebration as we enter a new step of life.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #BecomingBarnett so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
