This is where we got engaged! It's one of our favorite beaches to watch the sunset. Being just a short drive (or ferry ride!) from La Jolla, Coronado feels like a little island getaway. Don't forget to check out the famous Hotel Del Coronado when you're here.
You'll probably spot this location as you're landing in San Diego. Balboa Park is full of beautiful architecture, museums, and plenty of spots to just relax and wander around. We used to love bringing our dog, Nellie, here for walks through the gardens and along the palm-lined paths.
One of the best zoos in the country! We went here on our "first date weekend"! It was also one of our favorite places to take guests that were in town visiting.
If you're staying through the weekend, make sure to check out their farmers market on Saturday morning. Little Italy has a variety of great restaurants to try, whether you're looking for a dinner spot or somewhere for brunch!
One of La Jolla’s most iconic spots, it's famous for its playful sea lions, tide pools, and breathtaking ocean views. The surrounding area is full of restaurants, cafes, and shops — perfect for grabbing a bite or enjoying a sunset drink after a walk by the water.
We used to live just a short walk from the beach in both Pacific Beach and Mission Beach areas. Take a walk down the pier or boardwalk, check out the shops and restaurants along the way, watch the surfers or even take a lesson yourself! Just make sure to get a wet suit, the water is COLD!!!
