Is there a dress code?

Answer

Rehearsal dinner / welcome party is cocktail attire. For the wedding we ask the guests dress in formal attire. You are free to wear whatever color you love. However we would like to let you know that the wedding party will be dressed in martini/olive green and tan. Feel free to complement or contrast this color palate as you wish. Also note that the ceremony will be taking place on the lawn overlooking the beach, so ladies choose your heels wisely or we recommend some heel protectors for grass!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM. We kindly ask that guests arrive a little early to find their seats and enjoy some brief entertainment before the celebration starts. This way, everyone can settle in comfortably and not miss a moment!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with you! If your invitation includes a guest it will explicitly say so. If not, we kindly ask that you attend solo and enjoy the day with our favorite people. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we want you to enjoy a night off! Please note that only the children who are part of the wedding ceremony will be attending. Thank you for understanding!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a hotel block at Hotel La Jolla. See the travel page for the link to the website or mention the Van Iderstine Wedding if booking by phone. Airbnb is also a great option, feel free to reach out for areas we recommend!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will be providing uber vouchers for everyone to travel to and from the wedding venue. More information regarding voucher code coming closer to the wedding date!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a parking lot at the venue. If you wish to drive, please let us know ahead of time so we can secure you a parking permit.
