Alex grew up in San Ramon, CA and Allison grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. Two separate coasts made meeting difficult- but not impossible. Little did they know, they shared an invisible string through their friends. Alex was frequently asked to visit Pittsburgh with his friend Kameron, who is cousins with Allison's friend Makenna. It wasn't until December of 2019 that Alex finally decided to take the trip with Kameron and this is when he met Allison. Alex told Allison all about his recent move to San Diego and offered to have her come and visit. Fast forward a few months and multiple FaceTime calls later, Alex says he'll fly her out to California. "Don't make it weird" Allison said when she told Alex the only weekend she was available was Valentine's Day weekend. Alex being the romantic he is, did the EXACT opposite. From the minute he picked her up from the airport, he took her on a moonlight picnic with all of her favorite snacks and candies. Allison knew from that moment on that she made the right decision. They spent the rest of the weekend having one of the most adventurous times of their lives. Somehow Allison convinced Alex to jump out of a perfectly good plane and together they went skydiving. To this day, Allison considers that whole weekend to be the best first date of her life.
