Vani and Trevor were destined to meet eventually. They shared many common friends and probably attended some grad school parties/events together without ever knowing! Ultimately, they met through TWO separate dating apps where Vani had the confidence to sweet talk Trevor into a date at Draughtsmen Brewery in Goleta. It wasn't until the bartender told them the place was closing that they realized they had spent over 5 hours talking about everything under the sun. Neither of them will admit it, but they fell in love with each other's constant ability to hold a conversation that night (and haven't shut up ever since!)

Trevor surprised Vani on her birthday with a trip to the beautiful city of San Diego. They drove down, enjoying the beautiful sunset, yummy dumplings in LA, and (as always) great company. It happened to be Restaurant Week, so they got to enjoy a 5 course tasting menu with live music.

Vani was a volunteer at the Santa Barbara Animal Shelter, walking dogs during her free time. When she started dating Trevor, one of their favorite date ideas was to take a dog from the shelter for a day out. They had many dates like this until one day they met Luna (aka Trixie at the time). Vani and Trevor had a charcuterie board picnic at one of the beaches in Santa Barbara, and Luna loved to sun bathe and walk along the beach with them. She was also their protector, and after only a few hours, Vani and Trevor knew that she was the one.

Trevor had been planning to propose to Vani for a very long time. In fact, he asked for her father's blessing in January of 2024. After holding onto the ring for almost three months and encouraging Vani to get biweekly manicures, Trevor finally made it official. He planned a surprise day trip to the San Francisco Golden Gate Park with a picnic, cute outfits (and the ring!) He even organized for their friend Shannon to hide in the bushes to photograph the whole thing! While crossing a bridge in the Botanical Gardens, Trevor stopped Vani for a "selfie" and after setting down all of their picnic supplies he got down on one knee and proposed. Both Trevor and Vani were at a loss for words and everything became a blur. Luckily, she said yes so we can celebrate this amazing wedding with all of you!
