2021 was a wild ride (to say the least) for us all. It was also when Firat and Vanessa first came into each other’s lives.
After months of “lost in translation” conversations, they met for their first date on May 2nd. Vanessa thought that Firat seemed sweaty and nervous. Firat thought that he must be sweating. He was nervous…he had just realized that the next train back to Long Island wasn’t until the following morning.
They both recall that they haven’t spent a weekend apart since.
Getting married the day before your sister’s birthday has been an unofficial tradition (with Lilly & Veronica, and also with Molly getting married the day before Vanessa’s birthday). So, on January 7th (the day before Molly’s birthday), Vanessa and Firat were married in Las Vegas. By Elvis. Vanessa was still sewing her dress while the limo was waiting…Firat had remembered only an hour beforehand that he needed a ring...
…it was perfect.
And now...we get to do it again...with our family and friends :)
