Anna and Vanessa met in a religion class at college and soon became close friends after meeting up at a Notre Dame football game. Go Irish! ☘ Anna and Vanessa found out that they had a lot more in common than they thought. Both girls are not only nurses, but they are both from Michigan and their parents grew up in the same small town southwest of Detroit. Anna and Vanessa have been on many adventures together including skydiving and learning how to sail on Lake Michigan! She has always been an amazing friend and is practically a sister to Vanessa.
Casey Landherr
Best Man
Casey is Cale's childhood best friend and babysitter. He makes the world's best dish of hot dog mac n' cheese. He has always been like a big brother to Cale, teaching him how to be immature. Casey witnessed and documented Cale's proposal to Vanessa at Bryce Canyon National Park. Casey's commitment to law enforcement has been an inspiration to Cale. Who knows what we will find out about Cale during his best man speech!
Emily Videan
Matron of Honor
Emily has been close friends with Vanessa since middle school. Vanessa and Emily enjoyed playing high school sports together. Emily was the setter and Vanessa played middle hitter/blocker in volleyball, so they were always close on and off the court! Emily has always been a solid friend over the years. Vanessa was a bridesmaid in Emily's wedding in June 2018 and Vanessa is so excited to have Emily in her bridal party now!
Evan Doty

Evan is Cale's younger brother. Cale has always enjoyed trying to be Evan's role model growing up. As brothers they have enjoyed growing up on their family farm, doing chores together, and keeping each other out of trouble. Evan is big into snowmobiling and always has a need for speed!
Lisa McCauley
Bridesmaid
Lisa and Vanessa have been besties since freshman year of college when they lived in the same dorm hallway and they were roommates senior year of college. They love to jam out to music in the car together and go to Notre Dame sporting events, particularly Irish football and hockey. Lisa has always been such a supportive friend. Even though she is a Blackhawks hockey fan, the friendship makes up for it!
Nick Fisher
Groomsman
Nick is Vanessa's youngest brother. Vanessa and Nick enjoy hiking together and doing outdoor activities. They have shared many fun memories growing up, especially spending time on their parent's boat on the lakes in northern Michigan. Cale and Nick have a passion for hockey and fishing, and both have a strong conviction. Nick and Vanessa's other brother, Mark enjoyed coming up with "Cale" puns in Colorado, the first time they met him. Some examples: "Let me put that on my CALEnder." "Welcome to CALEorado." "I'll Cale you later."
Catherine Cislo
Bridesmaid
Catherine is another one of Vanessa's close friends since freshman year of college! She can always make Vanessa laugh and is still a great friend all the way from Australia. The big time difference hasn't gotten in the way of their friendship. Catherine, Vanessa, and their other friend, Kate refer to themselves as the "Blonde Squad." These blondes definitely had more fun! Catherine and Vanessa have so many good times from college and beyond, with a big memory in the making at the wedding.
Mark Fisher
Groomsman
Mark is Vanessa's middle brother and prankster. Vanessa has many good memories with Mark, especially camping with their family every summer or fighting over who sits in the back seat for family road trips. He would always pick Jurassic Park as the movie to watch in the car, overriding Vanessa's choice of the Mary-Kate and Ashley movies. Mark and Cale both share a strong interest in history and teasing Vanessa.
Emily Taylor
Bridesmaid
Emily aka Emtay is a bubbly soul sista of Vanessa's. They went through nursing school together which formed a bond that can never be broken. They went on spring break together senior year of college in Emtay's home state of California. They have also traveled to the Bahamas together...a trip they will never forget! Emily is so positive and can lift anyone's spirits up. You'll find her breaking it down on the dance floor at the wedding!
Austin Johnson
Groomsman
Austin is Cale's cousin and one of his closest friends. They grew up, close in age, and have always been inseparable at any family event. Austin and Cale both cherish their Norwegian heritage and enjoyed a family trip to Norway in 2015. Cale looks up to Austin and his service as a pilot in the United States Army. Thanks to Austin, there will be no beets at the wedding reception dinner! The only "beats" at the wedding will be on the dance floor ;)
Jenna Brand
Bridesmaid
Jenna is a dear friend of Vanessa's. Jenna and Vanessa worked together in radiology at Mayo Clinic before Vanessa transferred to the Pediatric ICU. In 2016 they went on a road trip of a lifetime and drove down the east coast of the U.S. from Norfolk, Virginia to Savannah, Georgia. Jenna and Vanessa both share a passion for traveling and adventure. They always seem to be on the same wavelength, wanting to do the same activities, and typically end up ordering the same food at restaurants.
Brad Verly
Groomsman
Brad is one of Cale's best friends. Although they went to different universities, they met in college and were roommates junior year with Brad's cat, Harry Potter. They enjoy their annual motorcycle trip to different destinations across the country each year. Brad and Vanessa have both won Cale's family's fishing trophy at Pelican Lake. Cale tries to forget that he has yet to win the trophy.
