Both of us joined a friend at a speed dating event, a lock and key party. They men had keys on cords around their wrists, the women had locks around their necks. You were supposed to mingle around and see whose key fit in whose lock, and it was meant to start up conversation. Steve was sitting off by himself, while a lot of the other men were sitting at a table together.
