Our discounted rooms at the Quinta Real are from Thursday, November 21st to Monday, November 25th. We recommend guests arrive Thursday night or Friday morning to enjoy the recommended activities and hotel amenities before the festivities begin. There is a casual farewell "postboda picnic" on Sunday morning, so we recommend heading out late Sunday or Monday morning! If you want to stay longer you are welcome to, just reserve extra days in the hotel beyond our block or you can find plenty of other Airbnb/hotel options nearby - for things to do, check out the "Things to Do" section. :) As Thanksgiving is the Thursday after the wedding, we hope you can take some time off to relax and explore Monterrey before heading back home!
The dress code for the church ceremony and reception is “Black-Tie” - wear floor-length gowns (any color or see inspiration below for ideas), blue or black suits with only neckties, please :) . For some inspiration on dress vibes, check out this Pinterest board: https://pin.it/6fkQLZGWo Check the "Schedule" page for any other dress suggestions per event.
There will be transportation from the Hotel Quinta Real to the church leaving at 3:00pm for guests staying at the hotel and anyone who would like to park at the hotel instead of driving to the church. We recommend taking the provided transportation as parking near the church is very limited. Please arrive at the church by 3:45pm. After the ceremony, the transportation will take guests back to the hotel for the reception.
Yes, please note it in your RSVP and contact us to let us know!
We love your kids, but they might not love us enough to sit through all of these events! So, this will be a kid-free wedding weekend. Please reach out if you need help making accommodations if you are traveling with children.
We highly recommend you book at the Quinta Real as this is where the festivities and transportation will take place. There are other hotels nearby, as well as the option of vacation rentals in the area.
We recommend reaching out to a trusted transportation service called Kaari (message through WhatsApp at +52 81 1005 0278 or email contacto@kaari.mx) - they can help with any transportation needs during your time in Monterrey and can accommodate groups up to 18. You can also take an Uber, a taxi, or utilizing the Quinta Real's shuttle service that they can arrange for you. You can reach out to the hotel to arrange a shuttle via the contact information found here, or you can talk to them in the lobby at the hotel: https://www.caminoreal.com/en/quintareal/quinta-real-monterrey Additionally, there are other transportation services we can happily show you to arrange transport to and from the airport. Let us know if you have any questions!
We recommend taking an Uber or a taxi, as parking is typically limited in the areas we are having our events, except in the Quinta Real which has valet parking. If so desired, you can also rent a car at the airport.
The Quinta Real has a la carte breakfast option in the hotel served until 10am. You might find us there in the mornings as we prep for the day's events, or as we are recovering from the previous days events. The hotel is also in the downtown area of San Pedro, so there are options within walking distance or that are a short drive away. You can also order delivery on Uber Eats as well!
Most places accept cards, but it might not be a bad idea to take out pesos if you want to get food at smaller, local businesses. You may need some pesos to buy food at San Pedro Pinta, and we will take out some extra to lend to people in case anyone finds themselves needing cash.
Yes! Monterrey (especially San Pedro) is a very bilingual city and you should be able to navigate the city without knowing Spanish. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you might need some translation (which is doubtful to happen), Val and Kyle are here to help, as well as many other guests!
