Jessica is Valerie's older sister and oldest friend. When they were younger, Valerie was a constant shadow to Jessica, always wanting to play with her and her friends. As they grew older, their friendship blossomed as did their list of common interests- Dave Matthews Band, adopting dogs, and races, to name a few!
Kelly Carnahan

Valerie met Kelly in 2nd grade when the Bogies moved to New Lenox. They grew up around the corner from each other, and have survived the trials and tribulations of life together. Kelly is the historian of the friend group, often recounting stories and details that some of us have conveniently forgotten.
Briana Erickson

Briana and Valerie met in 4th grade when Briana was particularly impressed with Valerie's drawing of the Little Mermaid on her folder. Although Briana lives in the Twin Cities, they are still able to see each other several times a year and can still have hours long phone conversations just like they did in jr. high and high school.
Jacquelyn Rae

Valerie met Jackie when she moved to New Lenox in 5th grade from Pennsylvania. They played in the school band together and caused several shenanigans in high school. Valerie and Jackie continue to cause shenanigans, as pictured here where Jackie pushed Valerie around a Mariano's in a shopping cart.
Colleen Rhodes

In 2016, Valerie worked at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga where she met Colleen, one of the new education volunteers. Colleen's enthusiasm for the animals, love of pickles and quick witted humor made the two fast friends. Colleen and Valerie enjoy going on adventures together, whether it is visiting each other (Colleen lives in Huntsville, AL) or to a new destination!
Lindsey Gruber

Lindsey and Valerie met through a mutual friend at Lincoln Park Zoo who noticed the two had a lot in common. They first met at a Dog Halloween Costume Contest at a brewery, and attended many Cubs games together. Lindsey moved back home to Oregon in 2018, but Zach and Valerie were able to visit her in Portland in the summer of 2019.
Ben Hancock
Best Man
Ben is 2 years and 1 day older than Zach, making him the middle Hancock brother. Zach lived with Ben for several years before meeting Valerie. Ben then opened his home to Valerie and her three pups when they moved to Chattanooga from San Antonio, Texas!
Jacob Armitage
Groomsman
Jacob and Zach met through a mutual friend while attending East Tennessee State University in 2009. They became even closer when they worked at Industrial Microbiology Labs together.
Wes Hancock
Groomsman
Wes is the oldest of the three Hancock brothers. Zach and Wes share a love of music, and Wes took Zach to his very first concert (3-11)! Zach loves being an Uncle to Wes's two kids, Eli and Kaya.
Chris Thurman
Groomsman
Zach and Chris met in 8th grade math class and became fast friends. They played football together, and Zach became like a brother to Chris, frequently joining his family on their annual trips to Myrtle Beach.
Seth Tatarinowicz

Zach and Seth met through their mutual friend, Chris, in high school. Seth was always there for Zach to have great conversations with, no matter how big or small the topic.
