Guatapé
If you’re staying a few extra days, we highly recommend taking a day trip to Guatapé, one of the most popular towns outside of Medellín. It’s best known for El Peñol, a massive rock you can climb for panoramic views, as well as its vibrant town center filled with brightly painted buildings, restaurants, and shops. Overlooks of Medellín
For some of the best views of the city, check out one of Medellín’s overlooks. Two popular spots are Cerro El Picacho and Cerro Nutibara (Pueblito Paisa)
