Things To Do

Here are a few places we love, where you could grab lunch (or a drink) between the ceremony and the reception. Cheers!

Haberdish

3106 North Davidson Street, Charlotte, NC 28205
, (704) 817-1084

Upscale Southern food at an affordable price point, with incredible cocktails and a beautiful atmosphere. We recommend the deviled eggs for a starter, followed by fried chicken, sweet potato dumplings, and kale grits.

Moo & Brew

1300 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205
, (980) 585-4148

The best burgers in town, and possibly also the best fries in town. Try the Farmer's Daughter burger and a Large Marge (a 20 oz. Bloody Mary topped with a slider, mini grilled cheese, bacon, a fried green tomato, a jalapeno popper, and cheese curds... served with a 7 oz. Miller High Life).

Midwood Smokehouse

1401 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205
, (704) 295-4227

If you're looking for some true Carolina BBQ while you're in town, go here. Get yourself a Classic BBQ Plate of pulled pork with mac'n'cheese, slaw, and hush puppies.

Crepe Cellar Kitchen and Pub

3116 North Davidson Street, Charlotte, NC 28205
, (704) 910-6543

Don't let the name fool you -- they've got much more than just crepes. The burrata, roasted oysters, and pesto brie fries are a few of our favorite menu items.

Cabo Fish Taco

3201 North Davidson Street, Charlotte, NC 28205
, (704) 332-8868

If you're in the mood for Mexican, stop here for chips and homemade guacamole, BBQ mahi tacos, Baja rice, and a "Nectar of the Gods" margarita.

7th Street Public Market

224 East 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202
, (704) 230-4346

If you can't decide what you want, this is the spot to visit. You can get pizza, sushi, pasta, burgers, coffee, juice, pastries and more, all in one place.

Amélie's French Bakery & Café

2424 North Davidson Street, Charlotte, NC 28205
, (704) 376-1781

This eclectic French bakery is known for its pastries and macarons, but you can stop here for coffee, breakfast sandwiches, salads, soup, and more. Their salted caramel brownie is infamous in Charlotte, if you're looking for tips.

Free Range Brewing

2320 North Davidson Street, Charlotte, NC 28205
, (980) 201-9096

This is one of our favorite breweries in the city... and it just happens to be right in between our ceremony venue and our reception venue! They've got wine, cold brew coffee, cider, and kombucha in addition to their beer. But if you do want a beer, try a Cream of the Crop.

Workman’s Friend

1531 Central Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205
, (980) 224-8234

This cozy Irish pub always has a roaring fire and is known for its whiskey selection, but you can also order delicious food (especially the grilled cheese), cocktails, wine, beer, and more.

Heist Brewery

2909 North Davidson Street, Charlotte, NC 28205
, (704) 375-8260

This isn't just a brewery -- it's also a gastropub and cocktail bar. They've also got an all-you-can-eat brunch on Sunday, to help you recover from the post-reception bar crawl.

Boudreaux's Louisiana Kitchen

501 East 36th Street, Charlotte, NC 28205
, (704) 331-9898

They've got Cajun-style food (Gator bites, seafood, and gumbo top the list) as well as brunch until 2 p.m. (including a make-your-own Bloody Mary bar).

Benny Pennello's

2909 North Davidson Street, Charlotte, NC 28205
, (980) 949-8398

This is likely to be the last stop after the wedding's After Party! You can get a notoriously massive slice of delicious pizza for just $4 or $5.
