Question

Why is the wedding celebration two days long? Why is the wedding celebration two days long?

Answer

Our wedding is a joyful celebration of our love and the blending of our rich cultures! Day one is dedicated to the beauty and vibrancy of Nigerian traditions, where we will honor our heritage through a traditional marriage ceremony and rites. On day two, we’ll celebrate with a church ceremony and reception, embracing the American wedding style. We can’t wait to share both these meaningful moments with you!

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors? Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

On August 29th, events will be outdoors. On August 30th, the church ceremony will be held outdoors, followed by an indoor reception. California’s weather in August is absolutely perfect, and we want to take full advantage of the sunny skies and natural beauty for our special day. Think warm breezes, gorgeous views, and a day filled with love and laughter under the open sky!

We would love for our guests to wear their Asoebi on the traditional Nigerian wedding day on August 29th. However, if you prefer, feel free to wear it on August 30th during the Christian American wedding celebration. Your presence and participation mean the world to us! We have also prepared an Asoebi Guide for our guests, who are doing this for the first time, see our our Asoebi page for more info. If you have any further questions about this process, feel free to reach out to Simply Asoebi at contact@simplyasoebi.com.

Question

Please know that you are NOT obligated to purchase the Asoebi. The couple makes no profit from Asoebi sales, and your choice of attire is completely up to you. We have also prepared an Asoebi Guide for our guests, who are doing this for the first time, see our our Asoebi page for more info.
