Question

Will there be any Covid Safety Policies or Precautions?

Answer

We hope and trust you're up-to-date with your vaccinations. We encourage you to both wear a mask if doing so makes you more comfortable and to accept and welcome others who may choose to do the same. We will not be practicing physical distancing, and do not currently plan on requiring proof of negative test. The welcome drinks are in an indoor location. The majority of the wedding day will be outdoors, or in an open-air structure. The bye-bye bagels will be held outdoors if the weather holds. Lastly, a gentle reminder that risk levels and comfort levels vary among our community. We hope you'll join us in practicing kindness, acceptance, and consent. Oh actually one last thing. Covid is a chaos muppet; if circumstances drastically change, we'll update our policies & expectations and be sure to send you a note!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We want you to be able to let loose and party with us, so for the most part, we're asking folks to plan a kid-free getaway weekend. We hope you make the most of it with us! If your personal circumstances make this exceptionally difficult on you or your family, please reach out to us so we can find a creative solution for you to still be able to comfortably join us!

Are pets welcome?

Answer

Sort of! There are certainly AirBNB options that allow for well-behaved dogs. And, we're happy to host them at the pre- and post- wedding events (more info coming soon). But, Adena Orchard & Vine does not allow pets and it's a pretty long stretch to leave a pet alone/home. There are a couple of local doggie daycares/boarding services near the venue: Catskill Mountain Bed & Biscuit (15m away) http://www.catskillmountainbednbiscuit.com./boarding.html Dogwood Pet Lodge (25m away) http://www.dogwoodpetlodgeny.com/Services.html We don't have any pets so can't recommend/vouch for either of these places. You know your pet best, and it's up to you!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Absolutely not. Remind us to tell you about the anti-dress code protests Renee held in high school (objecting on the grounds of racial and gender discrimination). We've indicated in our notes on each event what considerations you might want to make while dressing for it!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Plan on arriving anytime between 2 & 3! The ceremony will start around 3, and we'll have plenty of tunes and drinks and games. Join us!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Tannersville is truly mountaintop. In fact, it is the highest village in New York State! It is consistently 10 degrees cooler and more temperate/less humid than surrounding areas. Expect highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid 50s. We recommend packing layers for the evenings!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is limited parking at Adena Orchard & Vine, first-come, first-serve. There is not enough parking for everyone (and we plan to party!), so we ask that you take advantage of the shuttle service if possible. You should always drive responsibly, but this is especially true on the Mountain where the roads are curvy and quite dark after the sun goes down. If you do choose to drive to the ceremony and then party just hard enough to wonder if you should drive home, please don't! You can take advantage of the shuttle back to town and pick up your car before noon the next day! Easy-peasy, and no judgment! :)

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There is no "home base" hotel, but shuttles will be provided between Tannersville (Hunter-Tannersville Jr-Sr High) and Adena Orchard & Vine throughout the night. More details are available on the Travel & Accommodations tab.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

As much as we'd love to party with everyone, we have capacity limitations and guests are limited to those who received invitations. We hope you understand, and trust us that we'll make sure you're surrounded by friends throughout the weekend even if you're not bringing a +1!
