We are getting married!

We first met at Dordt University in May 2023. Tyson was finishing his freshman year and I had just finished my junior year at Concordia University Texas and came to Dordt to visit friends. I had played soccer at Dordt my freshman year, so Tyson and I already knew of each other. Given that we both played college soccer, had some history at Dordt, mutual friends, were both Dutch, and both grew up CRC, we hit it off right away. The first night we hung out, we played soccer together and Tyson ended up singing and playing Zach Bryan on the guitar for me. It was so sweet and I'll never forget that. We made it official on June 30, 2023 at the fourth of July weekend celebration at Lake Okaboji, IA. The relationship seemed implausible considering I was from Washington and went to school in Texas, meanwhile Tyson was born and raised in the midwest and went to school there. However we are confident in how the Lord's hands were so evidently shaping our story. We felt it on our hearts that the Lord was calling us to give the relationship a try, so that is what we did! Thank goodness! I went back to Texas for my senior year and long distance began. Flash forward to now, and over two years have gone by and we are engaged and more in love than ever. We feel so loved and blessed by all our friends and family around us and can't wait to share this special day with everyone. Thank you Jesus for the gift of marriage!
