Kortum Trail to Goat Rock Beach
Julia’s favorite gentle walk in the area. The entire out and back walk is along the coast and is mostly flat. The trail is up to 7 miles total but you can simply go as far along the coast as you’d like and turn around when you’ve had enough!
Wild Flour Bread
Hands down the best bakery in the world- you read that right, THE WORLD. It is sinful. Sticky buns and the Gouda flat are *chef’s kiss*
Saint Teresa of Avila Church (Aka The Birds Church)
If you are a Hitchcock fan this is not to be missed. The spooky church and school house featured in the film the birds are still in operation today. It’s on the way to the bakery so make a trip out of it (and maybe sacrifice part of that sticky bun to our flying friends so they don’t get any ideas).
Bodega Head Trail
A lovely outlook with a mile or two of trails looking out at the ocean. Listen closely for seal barks!
Sonoma Coast Vineyards
A lovely winery tucked in the hills of the coast and overlooking the ocean. Very low key with nice Pinot Noir selection.
Visit Guerneville & the Redwoods!
A funky town in the Russian River, Geurneville has a ton of history as a logging town and is a quick drive away from Bodega Bay to see some redwoods at the Armstrong Redwoods Preserve!
Fort Ross State Historic Park
Fort Ross, a former Russian settlement and trading outpost 41 minutes north of Bodega Bay, figures into some of the least known eras of American history!
