Other Options: Apartments to Rent or Villas

There are many other affordable options in Hvar including renting houses or apartments using Booking.com if you want a more private space for your family/friends. Booking.com is most popular but you can also find options on AirBnB. Please be aware Hvar is very walkable but there can be many stairs. Cars/taxis are very limited with what streets they can go on. If you are interested, Hotel Podstine does own a few villas and apartments. Please reach out to Lexi and Tyler if you want to rent a property from Hotel Podstine.

Ferry Options (Between Split & Hvar) OR (Dubrovnik & Hvar)

🛳 Getting to Hvar from Split or Dubrovnik (will depend on if you fly into Split or Dubrovnik!) There are multiple ferry companies that travel between Split/Dubrovnik and Hvar town on the island of Hvar every day. There are many different ferries and times every day as well. These are passenger catamarans only (no cars). Travel time is about 1 hour from Split to Hvar or 3 hours from Dubrovnik to Hvar. Make sure you get on the ferry that is going to Hvar Town since there are other ports on the island of Hvar that the ferries travel to (such as Stari Grad). Ferries can be booked via multiple websites/apps but common ticket companies are: Bookaway, Ferryhopper, Omio, and Directferries (these websites also have apps for your smartphone). Private Transfer Option (Boat) for Getting from Split to Hvar

To get from Split (near the airport) directly to your Hvar hotel, you can take a private transfer boat. Anita, our wedding planner, can organize this for you. She gets around a 20% cheaper price than the hotels (Suncani Hvar) do for private boats. She works with the same exact transfer company as the hotels. If you booked at one of the Suncani Hvar Hotels, you probably already saw the automatic emails/offers from them about these private transfer boats. Free Bag Transport by Suncani Hvar Hotels @ Hvar Catamaran Port

If you are staying at one of the Suncani Hvar Hotels (Amfora, Pharos, etc), the hotels offer free luggage transportation services to your hotel from all catamarans which arrive to the Hvar port. The Suncani Hvar vans will be there for every catamaran arrival to Hvar to pick up the luggage from their guests. The van and hotel worker will be standing on the main promenade in front of the catamaran stop holding the hotel sign (Suncani Hvar Hotels, Amfora, Pharos, etc). The luggage transport service from the ferry port to the hotel front desk is free of charge and also offered to guests at their check-out when they need to leave and take the ferry off of the island. The reason for this is so that you can walk to/from the hotel without needing to carry all your large bags. The catamarans arrive near the old town of Hvar and no cars/taxis are located right where the catamaran drops you off. However, Suncnai Hvar Hotels' luggage pickup is allowed by Hvar for the convenience of the visitors.
