Due to COVID-19 Restrictions in Nashville, our wedding has been limited to immediate family and bridal party. We will live stream the wedding, but will unfortunately need to delay our reception until next year. We hope to celebrate with you all then, and in the meantime, please stay safe! We will have a livestream available here: https://evt.live/henryteichert/cecilia-and-tyler-s-wedding
Tyler's Story- I was new to Christ the King and decided to go to a kick off party... I mean tacos, beer, and Jesus - what's not to like? I got a drink and stood in line. Not really knowing anyone yet, I was just working up the courage to make friends when behind me I notice there's this girl who has the attention of about a dozen people telling a story, and well let's be honest she was easy on the eyes. I worked my way into the conversation with the correct pronunciation of "Oregon" and found myself in a lively conversation with Cecilia and her friend. I haven't stopped thinking about her since that night. I waited, not knowing when I'd see her again, but not wanting to ask her out via social media... until we both volunteered at a Senior Bingo event (I must admit I knew she'd be there and just had to go). I spent the entire time admiring her and after almost chickening out I asked her for her number... and promptly called an hour later for our first date that night. I guess when you know you just know. Cecilia's Story - I was just celebrating 1 year as a resident Nashvillian, when I attended the above-mentioned party and was asked to be a hostess to the newcomers. Eager to complete my assignment, I spotted one particularly intriguing 6' 2" newcomer who had strategically grabbed a beer (where there was no line) before circling back to wait in the already-established food line - clearly this one was smart - and I ended up in line behind him (#notanaccident). On the ride home, my girlfriends teased me and insisted that there was something between “that cute new guy” and me. And while I casually laughed it off, something deep down told me they were right. Three weeks later, we volunteered together and afterwards, he bravely asked me out. Although nervous (and slightly terrified that this was it), I said "yes", and have had the privilege of saying yes to this amazing man ever since.
