Liberia International Airport

Liberia airport (LIR) is the closest airport to Villa Ocaso. Prior to arriving in costa rica, we recommend arranging transportation from the airport through the Liberia airport shuttle service or one of the many rental car companies (adobe, enterprise, economy, hertz, etc). by car, it takes approximately 50-80 minutes to travel from the liberia airport to the Flamingo area.

If you're flying into Liberia International Airport (LIR) and feel comfortable driving in Costa Rica, renting a car can be a convenient and flexible way to get to Villa Ocaso in Flamingo Drive Time: The drive from LIR to Villa Ocaso takes approximately 50 to 80 minutes, depending on traffic and time of day. The roads are paved and well-marked, especially as you get closer to the coast. Car Rental Tips: Rental car insurance in Costa Rica can be surprisingly expensive and sometimes confusing. We recommend checking with your credit card company ahead of time to see if they offer coverage for international car rentals—many do, and it could save you money.
