We kindly ask all guests to plan their travel to Guanacaste, Costa Rica, arriving by Thursday, May 21st, 2026. Wedding celebrations will take place from May 22 to 25, and the bride and groom will be in the area from May 21st to 26th — we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
You can get around Costa Rica by shuttle, taxi, public transportation, or rental car (Adobe, Enterprise, Economy, Hertz, etc.). If you’re comfortable driving on Costa Rican roads and terrain, we recommend reserving your rental car in advance. It’s also a good idea to check with your credit card company about rental car insurance, as purchasing it locally can be quite expensive.
Yes, you will need a passport to travel to Costa Rica. It is recommended that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. If you do not have a passport—or if yours is set to expire soon—we recommend starting the application or renewal process as soon as possible.
Be ready to see plenty of sunshine, especially in the mornings, but since it's the beginning of the rainy season, you’ll also start feeling the shift into it. Be prepared for possible afternoon showers, but don’t let that deter you: many days will be enjoyable for beach time and outdoor activities. The temperature falls around 80°f during the day and 70°f at night
Costa Rica follows Central Standard Time (CST). For most of the year (March to November), Costa Rica’s local time is 1 hour behind the U.S. Central Time Zone.
