Things To Do

Morning Times

Morning Times

10 East Hargett Street, Raleigh, NC 27601

This is a fabulous coffee shop in Downtown Raleigh! In our first year of dating we did a "Year of Coffee" journal where we would rate our experiences at a coffee shop. Morning Times was where we came up with the idea. Ty said to Bennett, "You plan to keep me around for a whole year?!"

North Carolina Museum of Art

North Carolina Museum of Art

2110 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC 27607

The North Carolina Museum of Art is an absolutely beautiful (and free) museum. We spent many date days here wandering through the galleries! There is also a gorgeous outdoor portion that is great for a walk or a picnic.

Hayes Barton Cafe & Dessertery

Hayes Barton Cafe & Dessertery

2000 Fairview Road, Raleigh, NC 27608

One of Ty and Bennett's favorite places to get dessert is the Hayes Barton Cafe! They have amazing slices of cake and a wide variety of options.

Cowfish

Cowfish

4208 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27609

Ty and Bennett celebrated several anniversary dinners at Cowfish (pictured above). Here you can find either burgers or sushi - or both! It's the perfect dinner spot while you're in town. Bennett recommends the Bento Box and Ty recommends the Bison Burger.

State Farmers Market

State Farmers Market

1201 Agriculture Street, Raleigh, NC 27603

Visit the North Carolina State Farmer's Market for fresh produce, plants, or just a lovely stroll! Ty and Bennett spent many Saturday mornings here. You can also visit the NC Farmer's Market Restaurant next door for a great southern brunch.

Cookout

Cookout

1607 Walnut St, Cary, NC 27511

If you're visiting from out of state, you have to try our favorite North Carolina fast food stop! Ty's Cookout tray is a Big Double with two chicken quesadillas and white cheddar cheese bites. Bennett's Cookout tray is two chicken quesadillas with a side of a ranch chicken wrap and cajun fries!
