Ty and Bennett met Easter weekend in 2018. Bennett thought Ty was so cute that she made sure they volunteered in the same church classroom. After seeing Bennett, Ty asked a mutual friend about her. Our second date was Ty's prom and we officially started dating in July of that year. The rest is history!
We have done long distance between Lynchburg, Chapel Hill, Charlotte, Washington DC, and London while Ty played baseball and Bennett was in school. Weekend visits and nightly phone calls have supported our relationship! We are in our final stretch of long distance as Bennett moved to Chicago for her job.
Ty proposed to Bennett on October 5th 2024 at Sarah P. Duke Gardens. She thought she was going to dinner with friends to celebrate UNC's homecoming weekend and was so caught off guard that she hadn't even touched up her makeup! Ty planned celebrations with family and friends afterward.
