We highly recommend deciding if you would like to stay in Portland (about 1 hour from Hood River) or Hood River for the wedding first. Both have pros and cons and offer lots of different experiences. There are also towns along the Columbia River Gorge such as Cascade Locks which offer lodging in between the two spots.
