Things To Do

If you're making a long weekend of it, check out some of Hannah and Jordan's favorite spots on the North Shore while you're in town!

Lake Michigan

1251 Lake Shore Blvd, Evanston, IL 60202

With miles of trails along the lakeshore, enjoy a walk, run, cycle, swim, or picnic on this Great Lake. All beaches in Chicago are free and open to the public. Beaches in Evanston require a day pass. (Evanston beach access passes are $12 for non-residents and can be purchased at the Dempster Street office)

Bookends & Beginnings

1620 Orrington Avenue, Evanston, IL 60201

Hannah and Jordan's favorite local bookstore! Need they say more?

Mensch's Deli

1608 Chicago Avenue, Evanston, IL 60201

There's nothing like a fresh, hot breakfast at Mensch's. Say hi to Gigi for us!

Evanston Farmers' Market

1800 Maple Avenue, Evanston, IL 60201

A Saturday morning delight not to be missed! Enjoy a stroll through our local vendors on the morning after the big shabang.

Chicago Stars FC vs. Utah Royals FC

Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium, Northwestern University

Making a long weekend of it? Stick around for the Chicago Stars women's soccer team playing on Northwestern University's beautiful lakefront stadium on Sunday afternoon (Hannah and Jordan WISH they could join you, but they will be jetting off to California that day!)

Baháʼí House of Worship

100 Linden Avenue, Wilmette, IL 60091

There are only a handful of major Baha'i houses of worship in operation in the world, and the only one located in North America is just 2.5 miles north of Hannah and Jordan's wedding. An absolute must-see for beautiful architecture and peaceful garden strolls.

The "Home Alone" House

671 Lincoln Ave., Winnetka, IL 60093

THE McCallister family home from the famous "Home Alone" movies is located just a quick drive north of Evanston. We included the Zillow listing in case anyone is looking for their Summer home on the North Shore...
