Jordan and Hannah met on the dating app "Hinge" in August of 2020. You might say it was fate, but Hannah likes to say she took things into her own hands when she realized she was out of swipes for the day and paid the $20 for Hinge premium in order to send Jordan a message. The two hit it off on a socially-distanced picnic first date, discovering similarities between them that seemed like kismet (did you know they have the same birthday?) The rest, as they say, is history!
On Thanksgiving in 2020, after Hannah worked an opening shift at Starbucks and Jordan cooked them an entire feast for two, the pair took a walk out to the Lake Michigan shore. Standing on a pier looking out at the Chicago skyline, they said "I love you" for the first time. While they continued dating, they had a "medium-distance" relationship between Jordan's apartment in Evanston and Hannah's digs in Chicago, filling the years attending concerts, traveling, and staying on the hunt for the next gluten-free goody. In the Summer of 2023, they moved in together in Evanston.
On June 7th, 2025, Jordan walked Hannah out to that same pier on Lake Michigan in Evanston, just blocks from the apartment they've called home for two years. They both kind of blacked out at that point, so neither of them really remembers what was said, but they can confirm that Jordan got down on one knee and Hannah said YES. Nice! Now you get to come celebrate their marriage!!!
