We have a passion in our lives for charity, especially with the organizations of Iron Gate and Friends of San Lucas, both of whom have left an impact on us. You can read more about that impact below. As we begin our marriage, we want to share our love, laughter, and happiness with those who have greater needs than our own. Iron Gate's mission is to feed the hungry of Tulsa every day. Meals are served to guests 365-days a year, along with a weekly food pantry and other services. Trent's Story - Trent served as an intern on the Iron Gate Board of Directors this past year through Tulsa Young Professionals. He had the opportunity to serve and commune directly with the hungry and homeless of Tulsa. This opportunity led to a furthering of his desire to help the often overlooked in our local community. Friends of San Lucas supports development in San Lucas Tolimán and the surrounding communities in Guatemala. Roz's Story - Roz journeyed with fellow Christ the King parishioners to San Lucas Tolimán in May 2019, where she assisted in the building of a house (Roz's height came in handy) and walked in solidarity with the local community. Guatemala holds a special place in Roz's heart as she and her family have been particularly touched by the story of Blessed Stanley Rother, a fellow Oklahoman who gave his life serving the people of nearby Santiago Atitlan.
