Welcome to the TRoz Wedding Website

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! See below to learn more about our story and for any COVID-19 related updates.

COVID-19 Updates

We will be taking several health precautions throughout the weekend, including: limiting the number of guests at our ceremony at the request of our church; having a live virtual option of the ceremony for guests not attending in person; requesting the use of face coverings at the ceremony and reception; making hand sanitizer readily available for your use at all events; ensuring event vendors maintain standard precautions (i.e. masks, gloves, etc.); and having a seating chart at the ceremony and reception to maximize safety. Lastly, we ask that you carefully consider the safety of those in attendance by screening yourself prior to attending the wedding events. We ask any of those experiencing the following symptoms to celebrate with us from afar: fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, and sore throat. Thanks for doing your part to help us ensure a safe wedding celebration - Roz and Trent

How We Met

Having only briefly seen each other at various events hosted by the Parish of Christ the King, Roz and Trent’s real introduction would come on a fateful night in March of 2018 when they gathered with fellow young adults to watch March Madness over beers. After making small talk with friends and trying to “play it cool”, Trent ventured over to Roz to chat. Several hours of playful banter later, the pair were mutually intrigued. They audibly said that the night would be remembered for #16 seed UMBC’s upset over #1 seeded Virginia, but in their minds they knew that the only memories that seemed important were of the lovely human they had just gotten to know.

Our First Date

After a few months of getting to know each other, while two-stepping with friends or participating in group sports, the time had come for Trent to ask Roz out on a date. Since there is no better place to take a chicken farmer’s daughter than the Rooster Days Festival in Broken Arrow, OK, the date activity was an easy decision. This small-town festival featured a plethora of creaky rides, funnel cakes, and lots and lots of skee-ball. Roz was intrigued with Trent’s stories, as well as his aversion to spinning rides. Trent was enamored with Roz’s ease of laughter and quick wit. They finished the night enjoying fried cheese and a ferris wheel ride, with both parties anxious to see the other soon again.

How We Said “I Love You”

Around six months into their relationship, Trent planned a special date. Trent, known for his numerous lists, had carefully mapped out a ranking of the best neighborhoods for viewing Christmas lights in Tulsa. This served as the guide to their evening. The pair enjoyed a delicious dinner together before leaving to view the best-lit homes in the city. They drank hot chocolate and viewed lights for over an hour before venturing downtown for the last stop on the tour. They found themselves at the impeccably lit Guthrie Green. Trent pulled Roz to the side under the lit trees and told her what his heart was feeling. Fortunately for him, Roz felt the same. They shared an embrace and headed home with mutual love warming their hearts.

Our Favorite Date

With a shared Friday off from work, Trent and Roz intended to spend the day with the person they liked the most. After much discussion on what to do, Roz came up with the idea of the relationship. They would create a road trip scavenger hunt through the small towns of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Each item or activity would be photographed and then crossed off the list to document their progress. The list included items such as "dance in a gazebo", "view an amazing sunset", "touch a horse", and "drink beer at a brewery". Twenty-five items, three hundred seventy-five miles, and many delicious snacks later, Trent and Roz had made yet another memory of a lifetime. (Ask TRoz to show you the photobook documenting their trip next time you see them).

How She Said "Of Course"

3.13.20

After spending the morning eating brunch and the afternoon hiking at their favorite spot, Devil's Den State Park, Trent had a special surprise planned for Roz. At the end of their last hike of the day, a gazebo sat along the mountainside. Once they arrived, Trent pulled two PB&J sandwiches and a bottle of wine out of his backpack for the couple to share. Towards the end of their meal, Trent reached back into his backpack to grab two more items. One was a letter and the other was a small white box. Still unsuspecting, Roz sat and listened as Trent began reading the letter to her. After the first few sentences, she realized what was about to take place. The letter ended with Trent on one knee and Roz responding with the words "of course" to his proposal. They celebrated with Tulsa friends the next night and Trent and Roz's families the following two days to cap off their wonderful engagement weekend.
