FAQs

The Wedding Website of Stephanie Chen and Tristan Komoncharoensiri
Question

What are the health and safety measures?

Answer

Your heath and safety is our top priority! We are requesting guests to exercise caution and good judgement leading up to the wedding. If you are feeling sick at all, then please notify Stephanie and Tristan and do not attend the event. In regards to COVID-19, please do your due diligence and ensure you are fully vaccinated and have received a negative COVID test 24-48 hours before the wedding. We will not be checking vaccine cards or test results at the wedding, but consider this as a wedding gift to us and your fellow attendees. Additionally, we are NOT requiring masks at the event, but please feel free to wear one if you are more comfortable. Let's keep each other healthy and safe on this beautiful day of celebrations! If you have any questions or concerns about the above, then please reach out to Stephanie and Tristan directly.

Question

A Story From Stephanie About Why We're Serious About the Above

Answer

For those who don't know, my brother Stanley was born with Down Syndrome and is considered "immunocompromised" - he is also apart of the group that is unable to get the COVID-19 vaccine. That said, we as a family, decided that it would be best to not bring him to the wedding in the event that he contracts the virus. This was an incredibly difficult decision to make, but this is also part of the reason why we are taking this seriously. We have quite a few elderly and/or immunocompromised folks who will be in attendance, so please exercise good judgement to ensure the health and safety of your neighbors.

Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding celebration is on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 6pm at The Ranch at Silvercreek in San Jose, CA (4601 Hill Top View Ln, San Jose, CA 95138).

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please kindly RSVP by March 31, 2023 - it would really help us out a lot!

Question

How far is the ceremony from the reception?

Answer

Our beautiful venue conveniently has a ceremony and reception space in the same area - no need to make additional accommodations for two separate locations!

Question

Where can I park at the venue?

Answer

The venue parking lot has ample parking as well as a drop off roundabout for those guests who need to be dropped off in front of the venue. You are free to leave your car overnight if needed.

Question

Am I allowed to bring plus ones?

Answer

Given that we had a tight budget and long list of people we love, we did our best to include all the plus ones we could as specified on your invitation. There will be no additional add-ons for anyone outside of who was stated on the invitation. If you have additional questions, then please reach out to Stephanie and Tristan directly.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Unfortunately, our wedding day is a kid-free event - however, we intend on having smaller celebrations leading up to and after the wedding day where kids are happily welcome. More info to come on those events!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We prefer Semi-Formal attire - tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. If you would like to match our wedding colors, then please choose any shade of emerald greens, pinks, and oranges -- think tropical, summer colors. In case you need a reference point, we put together this color palette guide: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/15U1H0ysGzUHgSjwphvVIK_vd-zcQGctFKiEtCGUE0wo/edit?usp=sharing

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Yes! Keep in mind, your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, we have a few things on the horizon and will gladly accept any contributions, tips or advice to help us plan. To access, please scroll to the top of the website and select, "Registry".

Question

Will dinner be served?

Answer

Yes! After the ceremony, we will have a cocktail hour with appetizers and drinks. Once the reception hall opens, we will have a fully catered, buffet style dinner. At the end of the night, we may or may not have late night munchie options... Please specify allergies and other dietary restrictions on your RSVP.

Question

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Yes - lots of it. Our wedding will be open bar for anyone 21+, so please exercise good judgement for yourself and look out for others who may have had a bit too much. Also keep in mind, we have hired an amazing photographer who will be documenting the entire night - so as much as we want everyone to have a LIT time, don't be a hot mess...unless you want it documented forever. We will have non-alcoholic beverage options for our guests <21.

Question

If I or someone in my party can no longer attend, what should I do?

Answer

You will be greatly missed, but we understand that life happens. Given that we pay per person for our venue, please reach out to Stephanie and Tristan as soon as possible if you can no longer attend the wedding. The absolute last day is 10 days before the wedding on June 20, 2023.
