You have Walmart, San Pedro has Walk-Mart. You have K-mart, San Pedro has Caye Mart. You get the gist... Grocery shopping in Belize is not too different from the U.S. All large grocery stores in San Pedro take credit card with a $25 BZD minimum spend. The stores we frequent most are SuperBuy, Walk-Mart, and Caye Mart. Hot tip: buying local products is generally cheap while buying imported goods is generally more expensive. Be sure to check out the local fruit and vegetable stands and smaller grocery stores as well.

The island of Caye Caulker was split in half after a deadly hurricane in 1951. Today, "The Split", as it's commonly referred to, is a hub for music, restaurants, bars, and relaxation. To get to The Split, you can take a ferry from San Pedro to Caye Cualker. Most people make a day trip out of it. The motto of that island is "go slow, but don't stop" to give you an idea of their pace.
Trust us on this one.
