I didn't know back in 2015 that Phillip would end up being The One when I found his dating profile on an online dating site, but I was very much interested in his claim to make a really bomb strawberry-rhubarb pie. I love strawberry-rhubarb *anything* so I just had to contact him. After a few months of long-distance conversation, I ended up falling for him and finally decided to move to Tucson in early 2016 so we could talk a lot more in person. He is the sweetest, most even-tempered and supportive man I've ever known, and I'm so glad we met. --Tripp

Pastor Ko is a warm, personable clergyperson in the United Methodist Church, and a force for good. She has been at First Church for two years now, coming to Tucson from Illinois along with her young daughter. She is a strong ally to the queer community and sponsors church ministries such as homeless outreach.
Brian Cahill
Father of Phillip
Phillip's dad is a kind and gentle soul, nomadic at heart. He spent many years working on an Alaskan ferry as a cook, learning valuable skills such as how to cook while the floor pitches underfoot. These days he travels around the country, often going to Washington in the summer and spending the winter in Tucson. Biking is his favorite way to get around.

Tripp's mom (or "Safford Mom") lives in--you guessed it--Safford, AZ with her mother Shirley Payne. She was a financial adviser at Edward Jones for a number of years. These days she spends her time with family and friends.
David Gordon
Father of Tripp
Tripp's dad has been a mining engineer most of his adult life, working on large-scale projects such as mine expansion projections. His hobbies include gardening (or rather, battling the birds and squirrels to grow just one single tomato), tying artificial flies for fly-fishing, and fossil-hunting out in the hills.
Odessa Gordon
Mother of Tripp
Tripp's step-mom (or "just Mom, thanks") has been a teacher off and on, pausing to raise her kids to a more-or-less self-sufficient age before going back. She currently works in the Miami, AZ grade school. She enjoys working with the young women in her church as a Girls' Camp leader and cooking delicious food for her kids and relatives when they come to visit.

Tripp's younger brother has been in the long-haul trucking business for a number of years, but his heart's desire is to compose music for a living. Ask him about the songs he's recorded so far!

Tripp's youngest brother is currently in college to study graphic design. He's a free spirit and a fun person to just hang out and shoot the breeze with.
