The address is 915 E 4th St, Tucson AZ 85719. It is the majestic building with a tall bell tower at the corner of Park Avenue and 4th Street, just south of the University of Arizona's Main Gate Square.
The "Tea House" chapel, as it's called, is just off the side of the main sanctuary. The quickest way to it is through the front gate. Park on the north side of 4th Street closest to the Park Ave/4th St intersection. Walk up the ramp past the pomegranate trees, turn left at the corner of the building, go through the gate then immediately turn right. Look for the wreath on the door! Alternatively, you can park in the main lot under the solar panels. Enter the church through the office entrance, proceed all the way down the hallway, turn left then exit through the double doors. The chapel is straight ahead through another set of double doors.
Everything will be indoors, aside from a few lawn games. In September in Arizona, you're going to want to stay indoors in the air-conditioning as much as possible to avoid heat exhaustion, sunburns, and monsoon rainstorms.
We will be live-streaming the ceremony on Zoom, and after photos we will have a receiving line which will include our virtual attendees. We will email you more details no later than September 1st, and hopefully sooner than that. Make sure when you RSVP, to include your email so that we can send you the details. If you forget, you can always text or leave a voicemail at (520) 428-4680 instead.
We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early so you can get settled before the ceremony begins at 11AM.
Business casual or Sunday best--no ties required! Polo or button-up shirts, slacks, dresses and/or skirts are all valid choices. An important note: One of our attendees is allergic to most perfumes and scented lotions, so please be considerate and limit how much you put on before the ceremony to avoid triggering them.
As long as your phone is on silent/do not disturb and the flash is turned off, we don't mind if you take pictures. In fact, we would appreciate it if you send your best photos to (520) 428-4680 so we can add them to our wedding album! Please be aware that Pastor Ko, the officiant, asks that you not post photos with her in them, online or on social media. Thank you.
There will be music for dancing plus a variety of games (including ping pong). There will be a table for advice & prediction cards, as well as an art station. And if you need to take a break from the festivities, you can relax in the library just around the corner from the Social Hall. Once the reception wraps up, we'll head to Snakes and Lattes just north of the church on University Blvd for drinks and a plethora of board games to choose from while we hang out.
Good news: Nearly all the food is gluten-free! As far as we know, only the cake contains gluten. However, we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination in any of the kitchens in which the food has been prepared.
The church doesn't allow alcohol on the premises. However, after the reception, we will head over to Snakes and Lattes nearby for drinks (or coffee). The first round is on us!
